Fabric Art

Learn to create surface designs on fabric for one of a kind works of art. Explore different dye, resist and stamping techniques. Learn basic two-dimensional design and colour theories to create rich,and interesting layered designs. You will finish the course with beautiful fabric which can be used for clothing, quilts, bags or other projects. Material kit must be purchased first night of class. Two classes are available. Fabric Art II

This multi-level course will introduce students to new surface design techniques not explored in the Fabric Art and Design Course eg. photo-transfer and silk screening. Using elements of colour and design, students will learn layering techniques to create complex fabric surfaces for their own unique textile projects.
